Country number 14.  We only had a short visit in Albania but the people were great, very friendly, lots of hellos from the roadside.  The kids were particularly vocal, which could be in part because our second day in the country was also their last day of school for the year.  The countryside was quite beautiful, but the road surfaces had a lot to be desired.  Our route happened to take us past a large number of Albania bunkers – thus header photograph.
