2026 was not our best year for riding. We got a house ready to sell, sold a house, bought a house and moved mostly ourselves. All that administrative work got in the way of doing anything pretty much all summer. In the fall, once things settle a little, just before the Oregon rains set in for the winter, we decided to get out there, even if only for a short ride. A sagged tour would have been the easiest option but that required more planning ahead than we could manage. The next best option was a credit card tour staying at McMenamins brothers hotels from Portland to Olympia, Washington. We had some good riding, some good beers but a few too many pub meals – overall, we’re calling it a success.
