Bibbulmun

The Bibbulmun Track advertises itself as one of the world’s great long distance walk trails, stretching nearly 1000kms from Kalamunda (Perth Hills) to Albany (South Coast) through the heart of the scenic South West of Western Australia.  Most people who do it rave about the variety and beauty of the track.

We love bushwalking and have always wanted to do an extended multi-day hike.  We have done the Great North Walk from Sydney to Newcastle , in sections over several months, but this will be a completely different experience.

We plan to do this hike starting in March and expect it to take 6-8 weeks.

Update March 2011 — due to the broken collarbone we will have to delay our Bibbulmun trip until Nancy can carry a relatively heavy pack.  Perhaps we can do the hike when we reach Perth on the bikes – would make a nice change from sitting on a bike seat all day!

  1. Chris is very jealous. Sounds like a great adventure. The hiking part seems great to me. Florence wants to know where you are in the picture. She loves the flowers. Will look forward to hearing about the adventure.
